Well Red
Maybe the lack of support at these functions and around the club in general is down to disenchantment about the how the club is being run? Or newcomers not being made to feel part of the club ? Just a thought.

I was in the Fiddlers on Saturday night I saw 3 senior players downstairs and asked them to come up. They did not do so
Admin Reply - As mentioned it is unfair to point the finger at any grouping within the club. One thing for sure though that for the club as a whole to progress this malaise needs to be well and truly cast aside and more people need to step up to the plate - from all parts of the club.

Gary like my old saying ''''You can lead a horse to water (but you can''''t make him/it drink)''''. But sure it''''s always someone elses fault. Do we have a Club Lotto cause no one has ever asked me to buy or sell them? lol
Admin Reply - Indeed, the number of lottos sold each week is nothing short of a disgrace, as is the number of club members actually selling them. Perhaps come AGM people will be shocked to discover jjust how much money it takes to run the club in relation to how little we are bringing in. The "someone else can do it" attitude is so difficult to comprehend. This club belongs to all of us and all of us need to contribute.

It''s unfair to highlight the parents of our youngest members. Sat night (as typical of most events) was poorly attended by a broad cross section of the club. All members & players need to take a look at what they contribute. In the vast majority of cases the answer sadly is little or nothing.

can i just say that i am a senior player and a full time 1 at that ie meanin i go 2 training and can i just say the first time i new of that disco was on the wed nite and i only found out because i over heard some1 else talkin about it!!!! so if am at the club 4 times a week and didnt no about it what does that say....??????
Admin Reply - Posters around town, posted on website, printed on the ballot tickets, members txtd - all of these were done. Is there a medium that club members use that others are unaware of? Like the unsold tickets lying in kitbags excuses and ambivalence to club affairs are rife.

Great to see such a great turn out at the Fiddlers for the draw and disco NOT. A whole 15 people turned up well done to them. The rest of the members and parents of the clubs children thanks for nothing. The club is dying on its feet and you are all happy to stand aside and watch it happen. What will all you parents do for a Saturday morning babysitting service then?
Admin Reply - Thanks to those that took the time on Saturday evening to support the Club & to the members that help sell or buy the tickets. I would also point out that on the night it was badly supported by our Senior players as well. Like the Club Lotto not too many people seem to care. But i'm sure at the AGM we will have plenty of experts on what should be done.

Fantastic work by all of those involved in organising the draw and to those that sold and bought tickets. Pity the draw event was so poorly supported by members again.Well done to James Brazier & Ryan Maguire for representing the entire senior squad too !!!

Admin Reply - We would just add that a lot of people have a lot to say about how the Club is run but very few actually put words into action. We would also like to thank those that regularly buy/sell OUR Club lotto keep up the good work.

as a member of the club for a number of years now, and reading over the comments. personally i feel that senior players do enough for the club training and playing weekly representing our parish. may i add over the past couple of years with pride. i feel financial support could be obtained quite easily within the area from club members and players that are not quite as active on the field. funds are seriously needed as our club rooms are a disgrace and provide no availabillty for our youth to come down to the club on nights they are not training. if anything it would probably drive our youth away. i think this problem should be tackled asap and we could build from there. ( fine example being creggan kickhams!!)
Admin Reply - Fair point - but the senior players as a group gave the club a financial commitment which has not been lived up to. Maybe committee and coaches of all age groups should be exempt too? The harsh reality is that it requires everyone to pull their weight - that is a simple financial reality.
